$1000 Cash HUGE Christmas Giveaway 2017!

$1000 cash Christmas giveaway 2017

I hope you're warming up to the idea of winter and Christmas because they're both just around the corner...

...and with the state of the world being quite a mess lately, it can seem like all you're going to get in your stocking this year is a lump of coal.

Not for HTS readers though!

Christmas season means one thing around here: our huge annual Christmas Giveaway where we give away $1,000 of our own money to make your holidays just a little bit easier and to take your mind off all the doom and gloom.

That right. We're doing it again this year. Just like we did in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 - 5 years running now!

But first, before you enter using the form below, we want to hear what you would use the extra cash for this Christmas. Leave a comment below - we love reading about your plans, dreams, and yes ... even practical uses for the money, like paying down debt.

And why not share the Christmas spirit by sending a link to this giveaway to your friends and family?

Everyone wins when we grow this community and learn to better manage our money together.

The Prizes

This year we're focusing on giving away our own $1,000 but want to say a special thank you to Home Trust for donating an extra $100 gift card on top of the cash prizes from us.

Here's the $1K from me that you know and love:

  • 1st Prize - $500 cash
  • 2nd Prize - $250 cash
  • 3rd Prize - $150 cash
  • 4th Prize - $50 cash
  • 5th Prize - $50 cash

Here's a bonus:

  • 6th Prize - $100 gift card from Home Trust

Total Prize Value: $1,100

Get a top flexible travel credit card.
Plus a travel bonus worth another $150.
Only 200 gift cards left.

Enter Here:

Entering is easy, just follow the instructions in the giveaway entry form below. You can pick and choose which ways you would like to enter using the form and it will keep track of all your entries up to a maximum of 15 per person.

If I may give you some advice, ask your vet for details of the procedure.

My dog was burned during his teeth cleaning on November 10th, as there were microwavable heat bags used to keep him warm while under anaesthetic. It has been 1 month of multiple medications, trips to the vet, and changing dressings twice a day to the 3 burns on his body. I would hate for anyone else to experience this!

Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest! I have been reading your articles probably for about a year and have gleaned some valuable tips - nothing that's made me over-the-top-rich but small things that have saved me a $20 here and there.

This year will be a Christmas of difficult changes for my small family. I am a mom who co-parents three wonderful children (two of which are now adults), but I am also an only child to my wonderful parents.

The difficult part of this Christmas is my dad will not be with us in the capacity he always has been. He has dementia and bladder cancer now and has been in the hospital for a month. I don't know where he will be placed when discharged.

My 22 year old daughter and her partner relocated to be closer, my 19 year old autistic son comes when he can, and my 16 year old daughter has been at the hospital loyally, after school, almost every single night. My mom, who is 71 goes to the hospital everyday between taking care of her clients (she is a PSW). Needless to say, "Poppy" means the world to us.

What would I buy? A perfect memory for dad so we can have him back...realistically a nice HOT meal for all of us that's not wrapped in to-go paper or served in a styrofoam container or part of a coffee combo. Some gas would be great and I'd love to pay off those annoying hospital parking tickets. Happy Holidays!

Glad the articles have been able to save you some money cindy. Hopefully there will be more to come.

My grandmother had dementia and it was so heartbreaking to see. One of my strongest memories from my teen years was taking my grandmother to see a movie while she had dementia. I never worked so hard to hold back tears in my life and tear up every time I think about it to this day.

My thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.

I have this strange notion that playing online poker systematically is safer than gambling recklessly on the stock market. I've read quite a few success stories, but never done it myself and don't plan to. Maybe I'm not right about that though.

The responsible one in me would be to put it towards the mortgage, the fun part would be to do an upgrade to the house thats needed, althought thats kinda responsible to.

I have been traveling back and forth to Mississippi from Texas for the past month in a half because my mother had to have heart surgery on the 13th of October. She coded the second day she was in the hospital where she then was transferred to life support. She passed away on the 31st of October, I had to pay out of pocket for some of her expenses, I then returned home in Texas on the 13th of November after laying her to rest on November 11th. I have been struggling since I made it back home because I was laid off from my job for missing too many days, as if the death of my mother wasn’t important. I was set back because I have a 8 year old son and I don’t know how I’m going to Christmas shop for him because I have no funds coming in. He barely has clothes and only 3 pair of shoes, please help me in any way you can.

This Christmas will be one to remember for my family. This past year has come with many ups n downs one of which was my niece and nephew being put in foster care. After exhausting all my financial resources I'm able to have a home big enough to accommodate them along with my two boys. I would use the money to give these amazing kids a Christmas to remember for years to come. They have all been through a lot boys ages 5,8&11 and my niece is also 11. We moved last month to have a kinship placement approved but financially it's been a struggle

Thank you for the opportunity!

My husband is taking a college course and on EI so I have been picking up the brunt of our expenses as EI does not provide much income. I would use the money to surprise him with shares in the stock he has his eye on.

I lost my job this week. The company I worked for has closed down. I really need this money in a big way, but If I win I would
like to share the money with a charity. I find what you give, you get back tenfold. Thanks for the opportunity. Merry Christmas to you!
